Background

Coverings, the largest international tile & stone exhibition takes place every year in the United States of America. Thus, offering an extravagant platform to the stone industry. Also, it helps to connect and create an experience altogether for its visitors. One can experience the latest trends in the stones and tiles. As well as, interact with fellow industry mates, and gain knowledge. However, Coverings Connected helped to serve the purpose this year due to the cancellation of the show.

Exhibitions all around the globe stand canceled due to the pandemic Covid-19. Thus, for everyone’s safety, the show had to be postponed to next year altogether.

The organizers ensured to connect the exhibitors and visitors despite of the show cancellation. Coverings Connected created valuable learning opportunities. The visitors could join in listen-only mode into the sessions ensuring less disturbance.

Content & Format

In Coverings Connected, the sessions were scheduled to be 1 hour long and in listen-only mode. GoToWebinar was used to conduct the webinar. Registration for each session was to be individually done. The topics were curated to benefit and add value to the exhibitors as well as to the visitors. You can anytime access the recordings of these live webinars here.

Takeaways from some of the sessions we attended:

1. Innovation: The Key to Success Through Color and Design Trends

The very first webinar was held by the key speaker Leatrice (Lee) Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute. She explained the various design trends and significance of the future color in the market. Interesting combinations within a palette were explained. Also, a brief explanation was given on how to attract consumers and spread awareness with the help of colour palettes.

2. Trend Hacks: How to Spot Trends That Will Impact Your Business

One of the most interesting webinar topics was “Trends”. What are they? Where do they come from? And why do they matter? These are some of the questions that were answered in this session.

Trends are generally based on consumers’ wants, needs, and desires. Thus, this will help you to understand your customer better. Also, it is beneficial to understand how you can fulfill their wants as the trends come to life. Also, trends are not about you, it is about your consumer. Access the full recorded webinar here.
